Nordic Blu Now the Exclusive Atlantic Salmon of EATALY
Eataly, the largest Italian retail and dining experience in North America, has chosen ‘Green-Rated’ Nordic Blu Salmon as the official Atlantic salmon to supply their stores across the country, including locations in Boston, New York, Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
“We’re honored that the first national partnership for Nordic Blu Salmon is with Eataly, a brand respected around the world for quality and authenticity,” says Mike Moniz, Managing Director of CleanFish, the sole importer of Nordic Blu to North America.
Nordic Blu Salmon is called out by name at Eataly fresh counters, on their restaurant menus, and is now the only Atlantic salmon the stores will offer.
“For us, it was a long search to find a sustainable Atlantic Salmon that also tasted great, so we are excited to now officially have a trusted partner.” — Peter Molinari, Quality Head of Meat and Seafood at Eataly North America
“At Eataly, we look to provide our customers with the most sustainably raised fish that fits strict guidelines and is audited by 3rd party companies. I was excited when I came across Nordic Blu, as it surpassed our standards,” said Peter Molinari, Quality Head of Meat and Seafood at Eataly North America. “For us, it was a long search to find a sustainable Atlantic Salmon that also tasted great, so we are excited to now officially have a trusted partner.”
Produced in Norway by Salten Aqua Group, Nordic Blu Salmon made its debut this year at SENA19. Scored on a range of sustainability measures, from chemical use to impact on the surrounding ecosystem, Nordic Blu is the highest eco-rated Atlantic salmon in the world with a score of 7.17 from Seafood Watch, exceeding the practices of its Yellow-Rated competition by a wide margin.
